Tärpäth: Delivered to devastate
30/06/13 || Cobal
A Finnish thrashing outfit, Tärpäth play a most aggressive form of the genre. I’m definitely not familiar with any band from this country that’s not all about melodic and somewhat sophisticated music. Okay, scratch that, I’ve listened to Horna for quite a long time. Anyway, this second demo succeeds at delivering a truthfully devastating sound, and still, I’m not impressed. As it often happens with these old-school underground releases, “Delivered to devastate” contains only a few worthy tracks if you ask me. After listening to it a couple times, I’ll tell you this: you could keep tracks 1, 7 and 9 and dispose of the rest. I’m sorry, but that’s how I feel.
4/10: Three good songs out of one plus an extra credit for authenticity, that is.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
